Hi Frank

I thought your "The Fence Line" was a magic piece of work. Well done indeed. With this version it was necessary to point out the Snowy Owl - even then I hunted around a bit to convince myself (not always a bad thing of course).

I find that when I attempt to do a remake of one of my images, my heart is not in it as much as it was with the original. I keep worrying about what I did last time. As a result nearly all of my remakes end up as a bit of a disappointment! Anyway - that's just me.

regards - Peter

Thank you very much for your response, Peter.
On "remakes" I will have to agree with you for the most part.
Before finishing " The Fence Line", I was toying with
the idea of a later second painting with the "Snowy Owl".
The idea for the second painting came to me because of the "gate"
in the first painting
This gate, reminded me of C. Monet's "The Magpie" painting,
a favourite of mine.
My first unethical thought was to add a Snowy Owl to "The Fence Line"
painting. The more I thought about the Snowy Owl title the more
I wanted to redo the whole painting. Aside from the title and the owl,
I felt the painting itself was stronger than, "The Fence Line" piece.
This painting was not a disappointment to me, which is not always the case.

Frank.
