Spring Runoff !

Spring Rock Moss    12" x 16"    O/P

In the lower areas of the land, there are still spring waters made up of melting snow and spring rains, rushing from the higher ground. Many of the 'run offs' are what I would refer to as "temporary". As the rainy spring days become fewer, the rushing brooks begin to lose their anger and as slowly as summer begins, they start to dry up.
From the time they start rushing when winter gives up, until late spring, they may provide a good source of plein air painting sites.

The palette for this painting was, ultramarine blue, cerulean blue, alizarin, cadmium red light, cadmium yellow medium, lemon yellow and titanium white.
I also had on my palette, chromium oxide green, Indian yellow, a 'flesh pink and a medium gray.
My medium was Odourless Solvent which I used for thinning my paint and cleaning my brushes.

'til next..
