Minus Twenty-Three degrees Fahreheit..and Snow !

Woodland Creek    10" x 12"    o/p

Another bright, beautiful, minus twenty- three degrees Fahrenheit day . This is not the kind of day that I would be found outside trying to paint. Although, I must say that the painting is now typical of the snow scenes that may be painted in the area. This painting was painted using reference material and  imagination.
This piece was painted on a pre gessoed and stained (a "peach" colour) Masonite panel.
My palette for this piece was, ultramarine blue, cerulean blue , alizarin, cad. red med., lemon yellow, cad. yellow med., yellow ocher, Indian yellow,  and titanium white.

Hats off to those who braved this winter day to paint outside !

'til next..

Minus 23? I don't even feel I can say, "stay warm!" knowing it's that cold for you (it would sound so trite to say). On the other hand, your painting is gorgeous!!

Those are the right colors for sure, nice loose style.
