Out for a drive in the country...

This painting is the result of two separate photo references being painted as one painting. I thought at the time that it would be a light hearted piece until someone made the comment that it was not unusual to see this scene while out for a drive in the country. Now that I come to think of it, they are right !

This piece was painted on a white Masonite panel that had previously been coated with three coats of gesso. (unsanded) I used a limited split palette as in previous paintings for this piece.
In spite of former comments, I still think that it is a "light hearted painting.
