Family Day...

Family Day At The Lake    10" x 12"    O/P

Family Day is a Provincial holiday in my Province as apposed to a Federal holiday. It is a day when some or most business's are closed. As the name suggests, it is a time for families !
Since the last painting, I felt that I would continue with the 'theme' of winter activity and capture more of a "not so unusual" winter scene, a pond hockey game.

The support for this painting was a Masonite panel that had two coats of gesso applied to the surface and when dry, two coats of a acrylic grey (a number five value ) were added and left to dry.

The colours on my palette and brushes used were the same colours and brushes used as in the previous painting, or, as the first panting in this series.

It has been fun painting this national winter activity .

..'til next...

Bruce.. Thanks for the comment.
The shovelin' theme would probably make a better cartoon than painting.

Good Painting !
