A Weekend of Snow..

An Ontario Country Home   10" x 12"     o/p

The panel for this painting had two coats of gesso applied to the surface. Neither coat of gesso was sanded prier to a a coat of medium grey-blue acrylic paint was applied to the dried surface.

The palette for this painting was, ultra marine blue, cerulean blue, alizarin, cad yellow med., raw sienna,  and titanium white.
My medium was odourless thinners and very little of the thinners was mixed with the colours during the painting session. I use the same thinners as my brush cleaning fluid.

I was rather pleased with the sharper than usual contrast in this particular painting.

'til next...

" thanks for sharing the process."

...My pleasure ! I hope it gives you ideas of your own.. :) I think the colours in oil also work for your colours in watercolours.. a limited palette !

Stay well..

I followed your link from another location and am glad I did. Lovely work here. I especially like this one: the bright sunny colors and that wonderful sky.
