For a, "Snow Day"..

Today was rather warm and 'snow' was the order of the day. Today's painting is from a reference photo that I 'snapped' yesterday while on a short trip north.
My habit now is to take photos and 'play' with them on the computer. In some cases I am able to get two or three sort of pleasing compositions from one photo....Some I have to discard altogether ! The successful ones I put into a file and save just for some days like today.

The palette for this painting was a rather limited one. Ultramarine blue , cerulean blue , cad red light, alizarin , cad. yellow med. , raw sienna , yellow ochre and titanium white.
