Above Freezing      16" x 20"    o/c

Finally able to get back to painting after five weeks of pneumonia and recovery. ...Rusty, but it feels good to have a brush in my hand again.

Rather than getting back to painting by using a small painting support, I decided to force myself  by using a larger than usual support. Instead of the smaller Masonite panel I went with a sixteen inch by twenty inch canvas..In  hind sight, I think this was punishment for the long lay off. If I learned one thing while painting this piece, it was confirmation that one has to paint "something" most every day just t stay even..
It can be a long fight back after some time off !

My palette for this painting was, ultra marine blue, cerulean blue, cad red lite, alizarin, cad yellow med., yellow ochre, chromium oxide green and titanium white.
I tryed  to stay with the number eight and ten brush, but gave in to the less than important detail.

Good to be back !

'til next...

Do be careful Frank!!

Glad you recovered and back on the road again. sometimes it's not a bad thing to get some distance to you work now and then, but caused by sickness, ... nope that's no good.

You work is vivid as always!!

I'm glad you've recovered OK. That must have been a tough time.

Judging by this you should be quickly back on track.

Thank you very much for your concern for my health. Yes, it certainly was a time for 'reflection'.
I am feeling much better now and slowly "crawing" back to painting.
Thank you for your complimentary comment.
I see that you are still stacking up the work. Looking great !

Good to be back !
