Back In Time...

Burning Autumn Leaves   9" x 12"   o/p

To me, it did not seem long ago that one could expect to see this occurrence happening in the smaller towns, It was then, not a unusual scene. From time to time while  driving around the countryside, this rather nostalgic scene may still be seen, and smelt. For me it is still deja vu .
I  miss many of those bygone sights and smells in our smaller towns. Progress will do that !

This rather small painting was painted on a gessoed Masonite panel that had been prepared with two coats of a number five acrylic grey.
My palette for this piece was my regular limited panel. I did have chromium oxide and 'lime' green on my palette and I did use them both.

I hope that you enjoyed my little memory trip back in time.

'til next...

Good Morning Frank!... A warm and inviting subject! The fire and figure added a freshness to the painting as well! Great fall colour in this one!

Hope "the Big Blow" missed you! Stay dry... I'll get back to you PRONTO....

Bruce... Thanks for the comment. I guess the figure is a bit of a change for me.
I like the "human element" in the painting as well.

All is well !
