From The Past

..Seen Better Days   10" x 12"   O/P

Love these old vehicles ! The stories they would tell if we could only hear and listen to them. By today's standards, mechanically so simple.
This particular piece was painted using photo reference and a couple of thumbnail sketches .

The panel (Masonite) was pre painted with a number four value gray on top of two coats of dried gesso.

The palette for this painting consisted of Prussian blue, cerulean blue , alizarin red, cad red light. cad yellow med. and titanium white. Other colours that I put out on my palette were chromium oxide which I found useful for this painting and burnt sienna.

My medium was odourless mineral spirits

Thanks for droppin'  in.

'til next...
