Quick Ink Sketch and Watercolour

Roadside Barns...Straight Pen, Ink and Watercolour    4" x 6 1/2"   Sketchpad Bond Paper

Perhaps it will end up as an oil painting. It would be interesting to me to see what the result would be using the sketch only. How far from the original site (plein air) would the difference be..

This is absolutely beautiful, I see that you have it tiled as a Quick sketch and I cant imagine how something so beautiful can come quickly. I have a new love affair with watercolors. I bought handmade paints that don't have any fillers and my how the vibrant colors surprised me. I am not much for talent and totally envy yours but I'm happy to be making beautiful colors at least.

Sarah Browning..Thank you very much for your comment and compliment.

"I see that you have it tiled as a Quick sketch and I cant imagine how something so beautiful can come quickly."

The quick sketch is a 'colmination' of twenty five years of "one a day" ink line drawing as a syndicated cartoonist.
The colmination seemed a long time, but not so the individual sketch. :-)

I really hope that you will always enjoy your watercolours and that you will continue to be surprised by them. It is a great start...

Good luck and take care.
