A Canadian in France..

   A Kitchen Garden in France  ..10" x 12"   ..o/p

As we traveled the beautiful French countryside, I did notice that many homes in the smaller villages had small kitchen gardens in their backyards. Many of them seemed as though they may be communal and cared for by their neighbours as well. A sort of spring , summer project by neighbours to provide fresh vegetables during the growing season.

This painting was painted on a gessoed and stained Masonite panel.

I used my usual limited palette colours. They are, Prussian blue, cerulean blue, perm. rose, cad red light, cad yellow med. cad. lemon yellow and titanium white.

My medium was odourless mineral spirits.

You've added life to the original canvas. I can feel the energy now. Beautiful.
