The Restoration   ..10" x 12"   ..O/P

The restoration of a century stone farm house is not an unusual site in our area. So when I came upon this scene of a 'clapboard' century farm house it drew my attention and immediately, a smile to my face.
I could not imagine the manual work and research that went into this total restoration to achieve the authentic feel and look of the original buildings.and their surroundings.

..A labour of love !

And the smile on my face ?   Somehow, the new car did not seem to me to fit the scene. ..Too many horses !

The panel and painting were the same application and method as the previous painting, "The Milk Stand".
The palette for this painting was my current limited palette.
Prussian blue, cerulean blue, yellow med., raw sienna, quin. red, cad red med., burnt sienna, yellow ochre and titanium white.

Note :    I am taking a short break.. will be back after Easter.

'til next, take care..
