Open Woodshed ..11" x 14" ..O/P
As I had mentioned in a former post, finding snow, believe it or not, has been a chore in my local area. The source for the painting above was a place several miles north of my home. They had snow ! I do not think that it will last long as the temperature today is now 40*F.
The palette for this painting was my new limited palette. The colours were Prussian blue, perm rose, cadmium yellow and titanium white. I also added a couple of colours from my former limited palette. Just for comfort sake !
I am still on the learning curve with this selection of colours and it has been a good experience, so far.
Onward and upward...I hope.
'til next..

Stunning use of colors , so much freedom. You are a great artist! I can tell you that snow has been lacking everywhere this year... until now! Europe is drowning in snow!
Jane..Thank you for taking the time to comment on my painting and for the lovely compliment.
I miss the snow, but not enough to ask you to send us some.. :)haha
Loved looking at your web site !Impressive !
..Take care.
Hi Frank,
lovely as usual. I like your new limited palette. Winsor@Newton p.rose has been a favorite of mine for a long time. Always good to experiment and make new discoveries!
Mariano Zucchi..
Mariano..Great to hear from you.
"Always good to experiment and make new discoveries!"
You have got that right ,Mariano !
I thought that I would be getting myself into trouble by changing my palette, but not so. It has been a good earning experience and the change is as good as a rest. I will stick with it for awhile and see what happens. :)
Hope that you are busy painting.
Respects...
Great limited palette !
Antonin..I am glad that you made contact.
"Great limited palette !"
I am beginning to get a handle on it and am finding it enjoyable as well as a challenge.
Thanks for your comment.
Take care..
I know this is not a place that I've ever been, but it is a very familiar scene. I feel like it is the path up to my grandmother's house. Nicely done!
Poppy :)
Thank you very much.
I am happy that you are reminded of your Grandmother's place by this painting.
I really enjoyed the content and "homey feel" of your blog.
As an aside, I am happy to be known and called by my seven grandchildren as, "Poppy". :)
Do take care..
