Early Autumn, Collins Creek    11" x 14"    O/P

Today I returned to a scene that  I have painted different seasons of the year. The day started out as a welcoming sunny day and as time ware on, became cloudy, with a sprinkling of rain. That kind  of weather  can be expected this time of the year.

I used my limited palette for this painting. Ultra marine blue, cerulean blue, alizarin , cadmium red light, cadmium yellow med., cadmium lemon yellow and titanium white. I also had on my palette, yellow ochre  sap geen and a flesh colour.
My support was a 11" by 14" Masonite panel that had two layers of gesso applied to its' surface. No coloured  under painting was applied before continuing the  painting.

Pockets of autumn colour can still be found in the countryside.

'til next...

Hi Frank,
yes nice live colors, what I like best is the sound of the wavelets running by while you were painting! Double winner!
