Autumn Park Lake   ..7" x 9"   ..O/P

Another visit to a scene that I have previously painted in other seasons. However, I do not remember painting this subject in the fall.

This piece was painted on a double gesso coated Masonite panel. I did not prestain the surface, but painted on a white surface.
The initial layout of the small painting was layed in using various thin dark 'washes', which were allowed to 'evaporate' before laying in the final colours. The final colours and mixtures were that of my limited palette.

This painting method was a good exercise for 'a limited time' painting.

'til next..
