Storrings Bridge   ..11" x 14"   ..O/P

Yes, there really is such a place. It begs to be painted, especially at this time of the year. The leaves on the trees are now at their most glorious colour. I cannot imagine our good fortune lasting much longer, although the weather forecast is favourable for the next few days.
It seems at this time of the year when the autumn colours are at their brightest, around every turn a painting waits.

My palette for this painting was my limited palette. I feel that a limited palette for me is preferred simply because it is easier to sort the autumn colours and their values that continually scream for your attention.

This weekend is our, "Canadian Thanksgiving". To all, I wish a Happy Thanksgiving.

'til next..

Beautiful Frank! Two years ago next week whilst on holiday in the U.S. we flew to Canada for our niece's wedding. I couldn't believe my eyes when I looked out of the plane ... the yellows, reds, oranges and ochres were stunning! It was the best flight I have ever had!

I love the fall! I like the way you were able to keep from muddying the colors, something I am working on myself!

Hi Frank,
really enjoyed looking at this painting, my favorite tree is the orange one foreground left. Beautiful oil!

Sharlette "I love the fall!"
..Me too!
Maybe it has someting to do with finally not seeing so many summer greens? Hope not.

Yes, muddy colours can be a problem.
Although, I have heard it said that they are just another colour. :)
Thankyou for your comment and reply.

Howdy, Mariano..
Thanks for taking a look at that painting and commenting.

"my favorite tree is the orange one foreground left"

It can really get confusing out there with all that colour "screaming for attention". It is not hard to lose ones self when sorting or editing it all out.
Yes, and sometimes happy accidents happen ! :)

Take care..
