Autumn On The Skootamatta River   ..11" x 14"   ..O/P

It has been a beautiful run. I now feel that my little series of paintings of the Storrings Bridge area is now complete for this year.
Although the colours do not seem as vivid, many areas closer to home have been waiting to be painted. I am excited to get out there while the nice weather we have been having stays with us. The white 'stuff' comes soon enough.

The palette for this painting was, ultramarine blue, cerulean blue, cadmium red light, alizarin red, cadmium yellow medium, cadmium lemon and titanium white. I also added chromium oxide green, lime green and earth green .
My panel was Masonite with two coats of gesso and the surface was, in this case, left white.

Thank you for taking the time to check out the painting.

...'till next

I really love the way that you have described and felt my painting.
I cannot remember ever hearing any of my paintings being described as,

I like the directional strokes in this one, your impressionistic style, just beautiful. How great to have such wonderful vistas to paint plein aire.

Rob..Nice to hear from a busy painter guy. :)
Thanks for the compliment.
With the rough weather we are now having, I think that the best of the fall colours will be wiped out.
...should still be some nice weather before the snow flys.

I hope that your summer paintng and teaching went better than you expected.

Continued Success...

Maybe it is a case of the grass always seeming to be greener on the other side of the 'pond'. :)

I have visited your country and felt the same way. :)

Take care.
