Derelict Barns ..10" x 12" ..O/P

Another painting from 'The County'. I think that I have struck the ' mother load'. It seems that there are paintings to be painted just for the looking. It must be the change in scenery or location that enthuses me.

Again, now that I am replenishing my colours the night before going out, my palette has remained the same as the last three paintings. They are the three primaries and a warm and cool of each. I have as yet to add any new or favourite colours to the palette. For this painting I did use some or more medium for thinning the colours than usual. My medium is still Odourless Mineral Spirits.

I did use the same three brushes and also my painting knife ( putty knife) as in previous paintings. In this particular case the evidence can be seen in the sky and in the foreground snow. The small nuances and the bits of detail were still the fun 'things' to do in the painting.

'til next..

Hi Frank, it's strange how a new location can lead to a burst of creativity. It must be something to do with the saying "A change is as good as a rest".

Your enthusiasm is certainly coming through in these recent paintings.

Hi Frank.
Sorry I haven`t been around, Several reasons that I won`t go into. As I have said before, It is very hard to choose which painting of yours to comment on. But I pick this one because it seems to hit me that little bit more. All wonderful paintings Frank. All the best.
Vic.
