..End Of The Road ..10" x 12" .. O/P

I finally got the chance to do a painting of this old car long after spotting it in a farmer's field.
It is not often that I get a chance to paint a car. Come to think of it, I can not remember the last time.
I painted this piece in much the same manner that I would paint any other painting.
The palette for this painting was my usual two blues, two reds and two yellows and titanium white. Although, I did add Naples yellow.
While painting this piece I used a palette knife. In Reality, it was a 'putty knife'. I found it to be an excellent tool for the purpose that I used it. You can see evidence of its use in the snow on the car and with some manipulation, the snow with the grasses in front of the car .
Working with the 'knife' was worth the time and experience not to mention the fun.

'til next..

Howdy Mariano..Thanks for the compliment. I think the fact that it was winter and the snow was around, it made for more contrast and made the colours jump out.
I see that you are still playing (drawing) with the "Models" ! :) Good for you !
Take care..
