Roadside Autumn 10" x 12" O/P

The colours are really starting to come out in full force now. Once they start to come, it seems that it is no time before we are seeing the last of them. It is just that quick !
For this particular painting , I used my split palette, a warm and cool of each primary. In addition, I used an Indian yellow, Terrie verte and a titanium white.
The method for this painting was fairly methodical . Firstly, I started with a white panel.
I first laid in my various darks of the subjects on the overall panel. I then proceeded to lay in the darker values of the objects main colours, proceeding to the lightest and finally in the end, adding the lightest accents for the details.
The rush is on as the weatherman is calling for rain over the next couple of days.
'til next..

A very nice painting Frank ... I can see that your style is changing. There is a lot more confidence in your expression now. Best wishes... Alice

Thanks Alice ! I would like to think that it has something to do with experience...and hardwork.I really appreciate that you noticed that and took the time to mention it.

Cheers.. :)

Hi Frank,
nice oil and a wonderful palette . I would have prefer your usual transparent red undertone on the panel. But is always good to try new thing just to see what the alternative is.

Howdy Mariano..
Thanks for the compliment , Mariano.
I had to try this one without the Red background since it is autumn and there is all this colour without adding more of my own.Nothing ventured, nothing gained ! I appreciate your comment as well ,Mariano.

Cheers..
