Road To The Ferry  8" x 6"  O/P

This painting was done on  a small panel that was covered with two coats of gesso and stained with a warm cadmium yellow and a small touch of alizarin.

I kept the colours, while painting,  fairly thin from start to finish and you can see the effect that method produces on top of the stain.. As a result, a warm cast is produced through the following painted colours.

The colours or palette used for this painting were, ultramarine blue, cadmium yellow medium, alizarin, cadmium lemon yellow, cerulean blue, cadmium red light and titanium white. A limited palette of warm and cool colours.

Between the "spring" colours and the "warm " stain, I feel that this small painted panel exudes the feel of early spring..

'til next.

Hi,Victor ! Glad that you like it. Thanks for the friendly compliment.

Great drawing on the sailboat piece that you did. That can be a difficult subject at best of times.

Hope that your chores slow down enough for you to paint. :~)
