Inner Harbour 11" x 14" Oil /PanelToday, I painted in my city's busy inner harbour. The weather was sunny and warm with a hint of autumn in the air.
It seemed that I spent a lot of time moving my easel around, trying to keep the glare of the sun off the face of the panel and painting. It was a tough go, so it is what it is...! :~) ..Maybe we will just call it a sketch !
My palette for this 'sketch' was, cerulean blue, french ultramarine blue, cadmium red light, cadmium yellow medium, Naples yellow, yellow green and of course, titanium white.
My brush was mainly a number six and a 'liner" for the thinner accent lines.
This painting turned into a personal test of patience and I think I fought the good fight...

In some areas of this piece my best intentions were sabotaged by less than good luck and a poor brush. Oh well, onward and upward as someone once said..
